Read & Reviewed #17

Obviously since it's October now I couldn't not sneak a little pumpkin into the background could I!? For this read & reviewed my books are ones I read on holiday, I'm still a little bit sad to be home, the holiday blues are real people!

Lara Jean writes letters to all the boys she's loved before, puts them in an envelope, addresses them, but tucks them away in her hat box, one day, by accident the letters get sent. I really enjoyed this book, I found the character development to be great and I really cared about the outcome. The scene was set so well I felt like I was right there. It's a book about teenagers in love, I devoured it in a couple of days and I've just bought the sequel!

The story is set around a group of teenagers and what unfolds in their lives once the world finds out there is a meteor hurdling towards Earth, giving them a 1/3 chance of survival. I enjoyed this book, it was an interesting take on a possible apocalyptic situation, getting to experience individual stories instead of the big picture. I liked how this book was written, although I was quite disappointed with the ending, I'd still recommend it though.

This book is based around two teenagers, Leo and David, both completely different, but the same in ways they're yet to find out. The story focuses on their high school experience, when Leo is moved to David's school. They're an unlikely friendship and this book reveals secrets along the way. It was an easy book to read with a powerful message behind it. It's fun and sad and it's one to read.
