Mexico Travel Photo Diary | Part 1

I'm a little bit sad writing this post as the holiday blues are kicking in bad! Me and Steven are back from our 2 weeks in the sun in Mexico. I thought I would do a few posts as a round up of what we got up to and some tips if you're thinking about visiting Mexico. We flew direct from Newcastle to Cancun on the Thomson Dreamliner, our holiday was through Thomson and we decided to stay in a part of Mexico called Riviera Maya, about an hour and a bit from Cancun. Our hotel was Sensimar Seaside Suites and was so gorgeous! The vibe in Mexico is pretty much just jungle, so we were right on the beach, surrounded by palm trees!

We decided to stay in the premium suites at the hotel, the block was just nicer and newer and was definitely worth the extra cost. The hotel grounds were pretty big, along with our side of the hotel there is also a new side for the American guests where you can also use their facilities. There were a few pools at the hotel, all with gorgeous Bali beds to sunbathe on, I don't think I can ever use a regular sunbed again! As you can see I was more than pleased with my giant inflatable pretzel!

So this post was just a quick one with a few snaps and letting you know about our stay, I've included some of a Mexican night on the beach at the hotel with traditional Mexican food and a Mariachi band, so fun! Our hotel was a fun environment, it wasn't cheesy like some all inclusive resorts can be and we didn't have to wear wristbands. The location of the hotel was great, resorts such as Akumal, Playa del Carmen and Tulum were all within about 30 minutes driving, more on our adventures out of the hotel to come !

  1. Everything looks gorgeous - I love your photos, sounds like you had an amazing time!
