Halfords Ultimate Camping Guide | UK & Camping Holiday Memories

I'll be honest, when it comes to camping I'm very much a girly girl, I've done it a few times in the past as you'll see but when it comes down to it, I'd much rather a nice hotel! Although I do like the experience of camping and love doing anything different. Halfords got in touch about their new Ultimate Camping Guide, which for a rookie like me is full of useful tips, but also lots of lovely ideas on places to visit in the UK and things to see along the way! I've had lots of nice getaways in the UK and thought I would share some of those with you!

When I was little I visited a caravan park up in Berwick a few times, you can see from the hilariously retro photographs I was only really little, but it's strange how much I can remember from these trips! I vividly remember Bradley Bear and doing activities with the other kids, I always loved a dance!

In 2012 me and Steven went to T in the Park, it's the only festival I've ever gone to and as you can see the weather and mud was horrendous! Although I do think I'd probably go to a festival again. There's a handy Festival Survival section of the guide which fills you in on all the essentials, how to set up camp and enjoy the experience! We didn't have a clue about tents so luckily there's also a section on which tent to buy

Last year me and Steven were lucky enough to be invited to Glamp at the Bells of Hemscott in Northumberland. Here they do glamping in bell tents and the Shepherds Hut where we stayed. Again in the guide is a section on glamping and ways to glam up your camping! We didn't have electricity here but it was nice to have a bed and duvet etc! Nothing better than drinking cider and toasting marshmallows!

Finally again last year me and Steven went to Hamsterly Forest in Durham for Picnic Cinema, where you can camp, bring food and drink and they show a film on a big screen. We had so much fun here, setting up our little campsite, getting our camping chairs out and watching the Evil Dead with drinks and snacks!

What are your fondest UK & Camping memories?
