Recipe | Nutty Pretzel Bark

I've become somewhat obsessed with making bark, I went the longest tome thinking it was super hard to make, but it really isn't! Obviously if you wanted your chocolate to be super glossy you would need to temper it first, which I really wasn't up for! But I think when you've got a load of delicious toppings on, you can't even tell! So I've got another really simple bark recipe but it's so so yummy! If you're a person who loves a mix of sweet and salty then you'll love this Nutty Pretzel Bark! Don't forget to check out my other bark recipes! I think this is a cute gift, I gave this to my boyfriend in his Valentine's Day hamper in a little cellophane bag tied with string. 

Ingredients - 

200g white chocolate 
200g dark chocolate 
50g sweet almonds, roughly chopped
50 salted pretzels, broken up

Method - 

1. Line a 20x20 square baking tin with parchment. In a microwavable bowl melt 150g of the while chocolate, melt in 15 second bursts, stirring after each. Once melted spoon into the prepared tin and smooth into an even layer with a spatula. 

2. Place tin in fridge for about 20 minutes, until almost fully set, if totally set the layers can separate. Melt 200g of the dark chocolate in the same way as the white. Take half of the pretzels and mix them into the chocolate. Spoon over the white layer and smooth down as best you can. 

3. Sprinkle over the almonds and remaining pretzels. Melt the final 50g of white chocolate and drizzle over bark with a fork. Set in the fridge for about 1 hour then break into any sized pieces! 



  1. Sweet and salty? Sign me up! Do you think you could swap out the almonds for cashews or something, though? I've had almond overload lately.

  2. This bark recipe looks good too - after seeing your last recipe I went out and bought a shallow tin, now I just need to find the time to make it! I might do an Easter themed one :)
