Making 2016 the Best Year Yet!

You might have seen my New Year's Resolutions post a couple of days ago, I wrote some personal and blog related goals for 2016, but I thought I would round up some more general musings about how I want to make 2016 the best year yet which everyone can relate to!

Plan & Organise
There's nothing I love more than a list, although I'm terrible for just writing things down on my phone. I really want to make an effort to write things down in my diary, I think I'm a reasonably organised person anyway, but we can all benefit from just that bit more planning!

Become a Mary Berry Protégé
This one might only apply to me...but I'm sure there's other's out there who want to improve their cooking skills in general. I'm super motivated to keep improving my baking skills and post yummy recipes on here, I think cooking and baking can be super relaxing and obviously a good skill to have!

Everything in Moderation
Continuing on from the last point, I think if you want a piece of cake, have it! I like to eat super healthy and do some exercise through the week, which I actually really enjoy! There's some amazing healthy vegetarian recipes I've discovered. I think it's important to not deprive yourself!

De-Clutter
I've got some serious decluttering to do this year, I'm a little bit of a hoarder, shoving things away in boxes but not getting rid of them even though I know I won't use or wear it again! I need to get my hands on "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying", I've heard great things about it!

Spend Time Away from Screens
This is one I'm terrible for myself and always get on at my boyfriend for, I'm always on my phone or my laptop, I think this year it's important to take some time away from that.

De-Stress
I'm a massive stress head, I went into this in my Resolutions post, but this year I want to take proper time to unwind and not always have what I have to do or have coming up playing on my mind.

Travel
I absolutely love the quote "travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer", I think it's so true, I plan on traveling as much as I can this year, I love experiencing new cultures and I again think travel is something everyone can benefit from.

  1. I couldn't agree more to being a Mary Berry protege. I'm really hoping that this year I'll get back into baking!
