Book Review | The Glam Guide by Fleur de Force

Fleur is one of my all time favourite YouTubers. I think her recommendations are always really honest and although having a very privileged lifestyle she is very down to earth which I love about her. I definitely trust her opinion and I was really excited when I heard she was releasing a book. I preordered The Glam Guide and gave it a good read over the past week or so.

I'll start off by saying I love the way it's laid out, the illustrations, photographs and typography are all lovely. I love the watercolour effect on the cover, as well as the rose gold foil effect.

The book itself is split into 10 chapters, Introduction, Beauty, Hair, Fashion, Travel, Health & Fitness, Life Love Dream & Everything In-between, YouTube & Blogging, A Note To My Subscribers & Acknowledgements. Each chapter is wonderfully in-depth and well thought out. I'm really pleased that Fleur wrote the book herself without a ghost writer!

There honestly isn't a section in this book that I don't love. Unlike Love, Tanya by Tanya Burr, read my review of that here, I thought this book was very much aimed at my age group and above and not younger (I'm 20). I found the book very interesting and well informed, there were some really useful tips. I also really liked the tone that the book is written in. It's really grown up and not patronising, but still fun and light hearted at the same time.

I would definitely recommend picking this book up, I learnt a lot from it!

Have you picked up The Glam Guide?
