Cleanse & Tone | Elave & Anne Semonin

Cleansing and toning are definitely my favourite parts of my skincare routine. I love 'taking the day off' with cleansing and being prone to the dreaded 'red face' I need that toning to even everything out! A few months ago I was lucky enough to win a Cohorted giveaway, featuring Elave Hydrating Cream Cleanser, Anne Semonin Botanical Milk & Anne Semonin Botanical Toner. I couldn't wait to try all of these out as I had never tried either brand.

Elave Hydrating Cream Cleanser - If you want a rich creamy cleanser then this one is for you! I think that for the quality of this cleanser the price is really good at only £12.75. This cleanser is recommended for dry/sensitive/normal/combination skin. I have dry/sensitive skin so I was confident that it wouldn't be irritated by this. I found this cleanser took off my stubborn makeup well, as well as being really hydrating and gentle. Made with purified water Vitamin B, Vitamin E and aloe vera, my skin was left feeling fresh and moisturised.

Anne Semonin Botanical Milk - This was the first 'milk' cleansing product I have tried and I was really pleased with the results, although expensive at £33. I used this like any normal cleanser, massaged onto my skin and removed with warm water and a muslin cloth. Suitable for all skin types I found this cleanser was so gentle and left my skin feeling very soft and smooth. Made with seaweed and hazelnut oil designed to lift off makeup and everyday impurities, it leaves the skin clean without feeling stripped. Silky in texture it regenerates skin tissue and improves elasticity.

Anne Semonin Botanical Toner - The next step after cleansing I tried this out. Again expensive at £37. I loved the smell of this toner, strange as it sounds, it smelled expensive! The toner really freshened up my skin and after a few weeks of use evened out my skin tone. Formulated with witch hazel it soothes sensitive skin, which for my is always important.

Have you tried any of these products?

  1. Ah well done on winning this, I actually work for Cohorted! I tried Clarins milk cleanser this weekend and wasn't a huge fan for my own skin but can imagine they would be really good for sensitive skin! I love toners, and I love products with botanical smells so the toner sounds amazing! Although way out of my price range.
