Manchester Road Trip | Breakfast at Moose Coffee

If you've seen my previous posts you'll know me and my boyfriend travelled down to Manchester to go on the Coronation Street Tour, read about that here. I also wanted to do a post about a great breakfast place that we visited, which was Moose Coffee. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day so I did some research and came across this place.

The decor was fab, plenty of moose themed items as you can probably tell from the name. Big moose heads up on the wall, painting of dressed up moose and a chandelier made from antlers. The place had a very American/Canadian vibe about it which is reflected in the furniture and the menu of course!

My boyfriend had a Macchiato and I loved the moose coffee cup! Ever since I got back from Amsterdam I had a craving for fresh mint tea with honey, nowhere serves it! I was so excited when I saw it on the menu here, it was as amazing as I remember it!

Onto the best bit, the food! I went for the Moose Apple and Homemade Salted Caramel Pancakes. There was a stack of three homemade pancakes cooked with cinnamon spiced apple and covered in salted caramel. They were served with butter and maple syrup. These were out of this world! The pancakes themselves were very thick so I only managed one and a half! They cinnamon apples tasted great, the salted caramel and maple syrup were fab additions to the pancakes, I was full for the rest of the day! My boyfriend went for the Bronx Brunch. Homemade potato hash, griddled with garlic, onion and mustard, with chopped smoked sausage, streaky bacon, peppers, melted cheese and corned beef. This is served with two eggs (my boyfriend doesn't like eggs) and toast. He loved this, I tasted it and there was so much flavour!

If you're looking for breakfast in Manchester I would definitely recommend Moose Coffee. The menu is massive, as are the portion sizes and everything sounds delicious, I know what we had was fab!

  3. Hmmm...the food does look quite American, lol. I usually make things like that for my husband on the weekends, when he can sleep in. :-)
