Mother's Day Gifts

Since it's a week until Mother's Day I thought I would do a post on the gifts that I have bought for my mam. I thought that this might provide some inspiration for anyone who hasn't bought their Mother's Day presents yet. I absolutely love buying presents for occasions and I always try and put a lot of thought in. I like to make notes when people say they like things and remember them when an occasion comes up. So this Mother's Day was no exception. My mam is not the type who likes smelly's for the bath etc, she's more of a homeware/kitchenware/dog person!

Top Left - My mam had been talking about wanting an old fashioned style crate for storage for a while. She told be she liked the vintage fruit and veg style crates so I decided to get her one for Mother's Day. I decided it would be more personal if I could find one that could be customised. I found this one from a shop on Etsy, called Deadraven Manufacturing Co. I decided to get 'Patricia's Bits & Bobs' printed on it. I really love this crate, I was really pleased with how it turned out!

Top Right - My mam loves baking books just as much as I do, our house is literally filled with them, but you can never have too many right? I bought all of these books from Homesense which is a part of TK Maxx. The top book is called Love Bake Nourish by Amber Rose. The second book is from the Leon range of books and is called Baking and Puddings. The bottom book is called Say it With Cake by Edd Kimber who won The Great British Bake Off.

Bottom Left - Here I have a little bunch of presents that I again bought from Homesense. My mam really loves this shop, it's like the perfect place to find her presents! On the right I got her some fancy banana curd. She's like a lemon curd obsessive and she loves banana sandwiches so I thought this would be nice for her to try. In the middle is a baking kit to make scones for dogs. My mam was talking about wanting to bake her own treats for our dog so I thought this was a perfect starter for her to try. Then on the left is a little mug and coaster set that says 'You had me at woof' which I am going to give her from the dog!

Bottom Right - My mam told be that she wanted a throw for the sofa and to use as a kind of blanket. She said she wanted a tartan one that wasn't too traditional. I don't think this throw is exactly what she wanted but I hunted around until I looked in Primark, I couldn't believe that it was only £3! So I had to buy it!

I would love to know what you have got your mam for Mother's Day!
