Favourites | Baking Books

I talk about it enough, how obsessed I am with baking! I thought I would share with you my ultimate favourite baking books!

Firstly I have Mary Berry's Cookery Course, I absolutely love Mary Berry, I think she is like the perfect old fashioned home cook. When I look for traditional cake/pudding recipes, this is the book I turn to. It is not just baking in this book, there are plenty of recipes for other courses.

The next book I have here is The Hummingbird Bakery Cake Days, I love The Hummingbird Bakery Books, I love the photography in them and I think they are really well put together. This book is laid out in sections of occasions, which I think is really nice, the majority of this book is cupcakes, so when I'm in a cupcake mood, this is one of the book I love to use.

Next I have The Clandestine Cake Club Cookbook. Before I got this book for Christmas I hadn't heard of The Clandestine Cake Club, but after falling in love with this book, I signed up to be part of it! This book is amazing, the cakes in here are gorgeous and not overly complicated. However there are only cakes in this book, which some people could find boring. That said, there is a massive variety of cakes in here, something for everyone!

I then have The Great British Bake Off Everyday, I am obsessed with The Great British Bake Off, it's one of my favourite things to watch. The Bake Off do have a few more books but this is the only one I have at the minute, that said this book is very good and I will definitely be buying the others in the future. The book is full of Mary and Paul's recipes and a few of the bakers from the show.

Then I have The Hummingbird Bakery Home Sweet Home, this is the second Hummingbird Bakery book I own, I have asked for the one I haven't got for my birthday! I love this book, probably more than the Cake Days Hummingbird book, I think that the recipes in here are more varied, saying that the majority of this book too is cupcakes.

Again with this book I love the photography and the layout. Finally I have The Hairy Bikers Big Book of Baking, this book is from their last series where they travelled Europe to find the best bakes. I love the recipes in here, really different since they are from areas in Europe. There are a lot of recipes in here that I wouldn't make, purely because they are quite complicated, however there are a few gems in here that are lovely!

I would love to know what your favourite baking books are!

  1. I love Mary Berry & have most of her recipe books! X

  2. Just wrote them down to give them to my mum as a present hahahaha! Great picks :) x
